What is a Video Survey for my boiler?

It’s as simple as it sounds – at the agreed time, we will have a friendly, qualified and experienced gas boiler engineer call your mobile using WhatsApp, using the video function so you can show them your current boiler setup.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to plan a guided tour. Because we use qualified gas surveyors who’ve seen thousands of boilers over their career, they know what questions to ask and the camera angles to as you to get so they can build a full and accurate picture of your existing heating system, and recommend a suitable replacement.

What happened to old fashioned boiler surveys?

If you’re local to us, we’re more than happy to send out a gas engineer to physically inspect your property, however because of how we structure our video surveys, you won’t suffer a drop in the quality of the survey for having it done over WhatsApp, AND you won’t feel so obliged to put them kettle on for your gas engineer. We find that offering Video Boiler surveys benefits our customers in many ways:

What happens on a video survey?

We’ll call you at the allotted time using WhatsApp Video Call from one of our dedicated work mobiles. After saying hello and introducing ourselves, we’ll ask you a few questions about your home and your existing central heating system. Check out the next section to find out what we would ask next.

We’ll then ask you to swap to your front facing camera and ask you to show us your current boiler, or the area you want the boiler installed so we can get a thorough understanding of what we’re working with. We may ask you you to move the camera around so we can inspect certain aspects of the boiler in detail, or as you to go outside with your phone to show us the flue.
